Walk around the Gantrisch mountain
August 1997
| The Gantrisch is a mountain south of Bern. You can reach one of the car parks at Wasserscheide by car within one hour from Bern. The scenic walk around the Gantrisch takes about two and a half hours. Because it is quite steep and stoney dont forget to wear good hiking boots. |
| From the Wasserscheide car park it takes about one hour to the Leiternpass. The track goes then behind the Gantrisch and you reach the Morgetenpass after about 40 minutes. From the Morgentenpass it is an other 50 minutes walk back to the car park. |
| The view from the foot of the Gantrisch. On the left hand side you can see the Stockhorn and in the background the Bernese Alps with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. |
| If the weather is clear, you can even see the Jura mountains with the Chasseral in the north | |
